GREAT AMERICAN ECLIPSE FESTIVAL
Lander LIVE Events 3pm-9pm
RECKLESS KELLY
with Screen Door Porch and also The Lonesome Heroes and Whippoorwill
Since the mid 1990s Reckless Kelly has been trailblazing the unique outlaw country sounds of the Austin, Texas music scene. Led by brothers Willy (guitar and vocals) and Cody Braun (fiddle, mandolin, harmonica and vocals) the two have moved beyond their early days of touring with their father’s band and are making their own country music with a solid rock edge. This “edge” is brought out by fellow band members David Abeyta on guitar and vocals, Jay Nazz on drums and Joe Miller on base. For two decades the band has toured coast to coast with adoring fans and critically acclaimed albums such as Grammy-nominated Good Luck & True Love (2011) and Grammy-winning Long Night Moon (2013). Their newest album, Sunset Motel (2016), is yet another shining example of the band’s take on true Americana music. For our Great American Eclipse extravaganza in Lander, Lander LIVE is pumped to bring in Reckless Kelly to show off our own “outlaw country” heritage and rock out with the best of them.
Screen Door Porch
Getting the evening going will be Wyoming’s own Screen Door Porch. Hailing from Jackson the group brings their Wyoming-influenced roots-rock, country-blues sound out in their fun and infectious live performances. The band is composed of Seadar Rose on vocals and Aaron Davis on slide guitar, who together form the songwriting pair. They are accompanied by Andy Peterson on drums and vocals and David Bundy on bass. This summer the band will be playing with their fourth studio release Pay it Forward (2017).
The Lonesome Heroes
“Many bands claim Gram Parsons and Big Star as influences, but few
compare to such time-tested landmarks. The reconfigured Lonesome Heroes fill the bil
l by drawing as much from Seventies pop as they do from a potpourri of country rock. The ear-pleasing results make for one of Austin’s best discs of 2015.”

Whippoorwill
Described as, “Cathartic, experiential alt-folk written by boots-in-the-dirt, partner-in-crime country girls and delivered across drummer Tobias Bank’s vast percussive landscape. For Whippoorwill, there’s little separation between the soul and the scenery– heartbreak is a ripped floodplain and longing, an unbroken expanse of sky” – HEY REVERB
